About the Program:
We are often shocked when someone is found to be lying or stealing. What were they thinking? What lead them to decide to do it? We will investigate the factors that impact employee behavior and what organizations can do to influence ethical decision-making.
Key Takeaways:
1. There are four general factors that influence ethical intent and ultimately, ethical behavior
2. Employers embrace they are under ethical evaluation by every employee, every day
3. Effective people practices (interviews through offboarding) must align with and advance the ethical intent of the organization
4. Codes are intended to protect the organizational, virtues are cultivated to advance it
5. Poor communication plans leave employees feeling alienated and energized to behave in unethical and deviant ways
